Before you park in a lot
- Pay at the lot's own machine or app, and read the hours and rules on its sign before you walk away.
- A tow from a private lot isn't a City tow, so it won't be at the City's tow lot. Start with the sign at the lot.
- When you save your car in Easy Lane, it warns you if lots within a block tow often. Already towed?
How this was counted
Every NOPD call for service typed "TOW IMPOUNDED VEHICLE (PRIVATE)" from Jan. 1 to Oct. 14, 2026, from the City's Calls for Service data, located to the block as NOPD publishes it and refreshed daily. Neighborhoods are the City's 72 official ones. These are tows from private property, not City tows from the street. Logged volume jumped in August 2025, which looks like a change in how tows are recorded, so this page counts the current year only and doesn't compare years.
