Car towed in New Orleans?

1. Confirm it was towed
Call the City at (504) 658-8100. If it wasn't a City tow, you were likely towed from a private lot: look for a sign there with the towing company's name and number.

2. Go to the tow lot

7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week

Bring a photo ID and your registration or other proof the car is yours, and call ahead to confirm what they need and which payment types they take.
3. What it costs
- Tow (most cars): $228.75 minimum, then $76.25 per extra half hour of tow work
- Storage: $34 a day
- Unpaid parking tickets: all due before release
- Booted instead: $172
- Larger vehicles: $335 (medium) or $430.50 (heavy) minimum
These went up on July 27, 2026: a tow was $161.25 and a boot $121 before.
