Everything you need to write about Easy Lane. Questions or a demo: hello@tryeasylane.com
In one line
Easy Lane is a free app that tells you where to park anywhere in New Orleans, what the curb rules mean, and whether you're about to get towed, including around second lines, parades and game days.
Fast facts
- Free, no ads, no sign-up. Web app at tryeasylane.com, installable on phones.
- Built on City of New Orleans data: meters, permit zones, 15,000 hydrants, 24,000+ mapped street signs, parade routes, roadwork and City 911 street closures.
- Live crossing reports: people on a parade or second-line route report which crossings are open.
- Reads a parking sign from a photo and explains it in plain English.
- Venue guides for the Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Saenger, Jazz Fest and more; MSY airport cost comparison; towed-car and ticket guides.
- AI assistants can query it live through a public MCP server.
- Operated by Art Tech Media LLC.
Story angles
- The invisible tow zones: about 85 miles of New Orleans curb will get you towed with no sign or paint, from the City's own maps. Free to use with credit.
- Parking around second lines and parades, a problem no national app handles. See the live map.
- The New Orleans Parking Calendar: every game, second line and parade that changes parking, as a free calendar subscription.
- Carnival 2027: route-by-route parking and tow rules ahead of Mardi Gras on Feb. 9.
