Copyright Policy
People can add photos to Easy Lane. We review every photo before anyone else sees it, and we respect copyright. If you believe something on Easy Lane uses your copyrighted work without permission, tell us and we'll take it down.
Where to send a notice
Our designated agent for copyright notices:
- Copyright Agent, Art Tech Media Group LLC
- Email: legal@tryeasylane.com
What a notice needs
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works).
- The copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
- Where the material is on Easy Lane, with a link or enough detail for us to find it.
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We remove or disable the material promptly once we get a complete notice, and we let the person who submitted it know.
Counter-notices
If your photo was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you had the right to share it, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature; the material that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notice, unless the other party tells us they have filed a lawsuit.
Repeat infringers
We end the accounts and block the submissions of people who repeatedly infringe. Three valid copyright notices against the same person's submissions is grounds for ending their access, and we may act sooner.
Other problems with a photo
For anything else, such as a photo showing someone's face or license plate, email hello@tryeasylane.com and we'll look at it.
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. 512(f)). If you're not sure the use is infringing, consider talking to a lawyer first.
