Picking someone up

• Wait in the cell phone lot. It's free, on Terminal Drive on the way in. Police move cars waiting at the baggage claim curb.
• Going inside? Short Term and the Surface Lot are free for the first 30 minutes, then $3 a half hour.
• Uber and Lyft pick up on the middle curb outside Level 1 Baggage Claim: Lyft at Doors 7 to 9, Uber at Doors 9 to 11.
• Taxis load outside Level 1 Baggage Claim, Door 7. They have to take cards.
• Buses leave from Level 1 Baggage Claim, Door 2: RTA 202 Airport Express to downtown ($1.25), or JET E1 to City Park Avenue ($2.00 into New Orleans).

• Short Term Garage$26 a day

  First 30 min free, then $3 a half hour. 342 spaces. Walk across to the terminal. No shuttle needed.

  The best pick for a quick pickup inside.

• Surface Lot$20 a day

  First 30 min free, then $3 a half hour. 145 spaces. Next to the terminal garages. Walk in.

  Small lot, so it fills.

• Long Term Garage$22 a day

  First 30 min $4, then $3 a half hour. 537 spaces. Walk across to the terminal. No shuttle needed.

• Economy Garage$12 a day

  First 30 min $4, then $3 a half hour. 1,330 spaces. Free shuttle, 24/7, from Level 1 to Baggage Claim Door 9. If the ride takes over 15 minutes the airport gives a 50% off voucher.

  Credit card only. EV charging on the 1st floor. Free bag check for American, Delta and United domestic flights, 4 am to 4 pm.

• Valet$36 a day

  Flat daily rate. Drop the car at the terminal and walk in.

  Staffed 6 am to midnight.
