Checks only, ticket number in the memo line. Allow 3 to 5 business days to clear. No cash by mail or phone.
In person: City Hall cashier, 1300 Perdido St, Room 1W09, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Or at the City tow lot, 400 N Claiborne Ave. Tow lot hours
Contest it
Deadline: By the date printed on the ticket.
Contest onlineBy mail: Write your explanation, add your proof, and mail it to Parking Violations Bureau, PO Box 52828, New Orleans, LA 70152. Written appeals usually take 3 to 4 weeks.
In person: Administrative Hearing Center, City Hall, 1300 Perdido St, Room 1W09. Open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; hearings 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call (504) 658-8250 to confirm before you go.
Bring: Pay-to-park receipts and printed photos. The City says photos on a phone or camera screen are not accepted.
You can't contest a ticket over the phone. If you contest and are found liable, you pay the original ticket amount.
